To find a gestational carrier, my husband and I are working with an agency that doubles as a law firm and has experience working with international intended parents.
Potential gestational carriers apply with our agency, who extensively review their application and background. Our agency then sends suitable candidates to our fertility clinic to be reviewed and approved from my OBGYN. Without our clinic’s approval, we don’t learn anything about our potential match besides her location. Once the clinic approves the potential candidate, we get to meet her. If we both agree to move forward – it’s a match!
So far it’s been a much longer waiting game than expected, but we are patient and hopeful that our perfect person is out there.
